I Was Searching For the Truth. I Found God.

I've spent all my life in spirituality.
And I can just say that I was ignorant until I found the Truth last year.
Intellectual honesty had me to admit that all these models/lenses that I was trying to apply to reality to describe and explain human existence, social and societal dynamics... were never enough. Never comprehensive.

So I kept searching, indefinitely, for years (I even quit my AI engineer job to pursue this research but that's another story).
And I have never seen any worldview matching 100% reality like the Bible's teachings do.

But you have to be willing to unlearn a lot of stuff, become a child again and be educated again.
Let it change your heart and all those wrong postures and priorities you had.
You have to have this hunger.
Recognize your ignorance. That's why - I believe - the first ever sentence of Jesus' in his Sermon on the Mount was:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 5:3)
In french versions, it reads "Blessed are those who are aware of their spiritual poverty".

You have to be aware of your spiritual poverty.

And it's not the case when you simply don't care and live according to what society deems good and your own desires.
(Or should I say: when you're enslaved to that.)

Or when your head is already filled up with so much from other pagan "spiritualities".
Which happens when you're looking for what feels good to you, not for the Truth.

You have to be more interested by the Truth than how you feel.
You have to be more interested by the Truth than how you're "doing" in life.
You have to believe that ONE Truth exists, and that it is not relative. Like there's only 1 law of gravity : it's not relative. You have to believe that.

And believe that in the face of all the people around you telling you that no truth exists. And that you're wasting your time. That you should be interested in the world of men and their silly, absurd behaviors. Instead of these ethereal, existential questions.

You have to be willing to seek the Truth.

And the Truth you will find.

And it'll set you free.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7)

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)

PS -- God has many ways to draw people to Him.
Sometimes, it's by hitting rock bottom.
Sometimes, an experience with death, loss...
In my case, it was this existential obsession for the Truth.
I've always felt that there was more to life than just matter.
And certainly more to existence than just society.

And I'm so glad I persevered.

I was consumed by this research for as far as I can remember!
My soul, spirit and body were crying for it.
And God finally led me to Him.

I was searching for the Truth. I found God.
